In 2003, a production company was formed by an aspiring urban filmmaker/photographer named Nick Supernova. Supernova Studios was formed and ready to share visions and opinions to the world. By the time 2006 came around, Supernova Studios’ first major project was born. Born because of the realization that Canadian hip hop is unique and legit. Born because conventional media does NOT have to be the sole platform that dictates the mainstream and what’s popular anymore.
None of this matters anymore, because of the revolution of the internet people can seek out the GOOD music that our country and others have to offer. People can seek out the GOOD music that comes from the underground and lives there until people help to get it out of the cellars of grassroot urban music.
